A heart breaking true story

Dog Facts For Kids

Dogs are the only animal that loves their owner more than their own life. Today we will know such a real story. This story is about a dog, his love for his owner. There was a railway called Settle Carlisle near the town of Garsdale in England. But for some reason, in 1970, Garsdale issued a notice to close the line. About 32,000 people in the city then signed a petition to save the railway line. An interesting matter is, the petition also had a dog’s paw with the signatures of 32,000 people. The brown-and-black English dog, named Ruswarp, was a faithful companion of Graham Nuttall, a resident of the town. And the animal also joined the protest with its owner. The footprints of 14-year-old Ruswarp were also on the petition as a valid signature.

Story of Ruswarp

On a beautiful morning on January 20, 1990, Graham Ruswarp left Burnley, his hometown, for the day. Their destination was Llandrindod Wells. But Graham and Ruswarp did not return to Burnley that day. When the day wore on and he did not return home the next day, the neighbors started searching. They were distributing posters and leaflets for weeks.

But Graham and Ruswarp were no longer found. About three months later, on April 7, they were finally found near a mountain. Graham was not alive, but Ruswarp guarded the owner’s body despite a week of bitter cold. Hungry, thirsty, and cold, Rousseau was weak, but he never left Graham’s body. He was so weak that, Rescuers had to carry this down the hill. After adequate treatment in the city, Ruswarp recovered a bit. But he realized his desire to survive and left with his boss. So, after hundreds of cares, he left the world shortly after Graham’s funeral. The people of Garsdale have long remembered the roar of Ruswarp’s throat when they were loading Graham’s coffin.
